Maternal Ancestors

I am tracing my mother’s paternal ancestors who migrated from Georgia in the early 1920’s. My direct line moved to Wisconsin, but others traveled to Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. There are also many descendants that stayed in or near the same counties in Georgia that included Banks, Hall, Jackson and Hall. The primary surnames in this group include:

    I’m glad I found this page. I too have Neal as one of the surnames I am researching, my Neal is a Francis Neal out of Talbot County ga. He had a daughter named Mariah Neal that was married to my gggrandfather Seabron/Seabron Walton 15 May 1875 in Talbot County ga. Francis Neal was listed as the brides father. My other surnames include, Walton,Willis,Howard from Waverly Hall Ga.
